This course is taught by Maryland Certified Qualified Handgun Instructors and NRA Certified Handgun Instructors.

Day-01 (Saturday May 3rd)

First hour of course will consist of a detailed safety briefing and updates to Maryland Law.
LIVE FIRE
-Practical Live Fire Drills to give the student real-world preparedness when handling their firearms in a defensive scenario.
-Each student will fire between 200 & 300 rounds each throughout the day.
EACH STUDENT MUST BRING TO RENEWAL TRAINING DAY:
FIREARMS: (Rental Packages are Available if you dont have your own FIrearm. See Below for Details)
-One handgun per student
(semi-auto or revolver)
(Sharing between students will not be allowed for this course)
(using multiple firearms per student will not be permitted)
OPTIONAL - FIREARM RENTAL PACKAGE
For shooters who do not have an HQL or their own firearm;
the firearm rental package includes everything you'll need for range day.

HOLSTERS:
-A safe, quality holster for their handgun.
(Holsters must be made of Kydex, Leather or a hybrid of the two)
Holsters NOT permitted for use include:
-Blackhawk SERPA or simliar, Shoulder Holsters, Chest rigs, Chest Holsters, Ankle Holsters, Purse Holsters, CCW Purses, Clothing Pockets.
(Flimsy cloth-type holsters will not be permitted for use)
PANTS AND A STURDY BELT:
-Students must have a good quality sturdy belt for their holster to attach to. You may not clip a holster onto your pants without a belt. Do not arrive to class wearing gym shorts or sweat pants. If your pants do not have belt loops with a solid belt, you will not be able to participate. Participation is required. Wear proper pants with a belt.
MAGAZINES:
-Minimum of three magazines for semi-auto handguns
-Minimum of two Speed Loaders for Revolvers
MAGAZINE POUCHES:
-Magazine pouch/ case is recommended but not required
AMMUNITION:
-Minimum of 200 rounds of ammunition
-Recommended (maximum) 300 rounds of ammunition
-We will have ammunition available on-site for purchase if needed.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
-Appropriate Eye Protection
-Available for purchase for $5.00 at the class if needed
-The range is outdoors, shaded safety glasses are recommended but not required.
-Ear protection
-Appropriate footwear (open toed shoes are NOT permitted)
NOTE:
-Students who do not arrive with the proper and safe gear required in the list above will NOT be permitted to participate in the course and will need to reschedule their course for a later date once they have acquired the appropriate gear. A $50.00 surecharge will be applied for students who fail to meet this reqirement and need to reschedule.
LADIES:
It is recommended that ladies do not wear low-cut tops. Ejected brass is HOT and WILL burn you.
OTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS:
-Lots of Bottled water or Gatorade
-Lunch - You MUST bring a bagged lunch. There is nowhere close that will deliver to the range.
-Snacks if desired
-Sun Screen
-Bug Spray
-A Ball Cap
-A good attitude!
